My lesson plan for the NOOC BYOD


BYOD lesson plan

-Title: Eras of History
-Short description:  We are going to recognize and study the different eras of life from Prehistory until today. Previously, we have work all these concepts in class and now they have to write up in pairs or groups all this information and later make a timeline.

Age group and subject: 6th Grade in the Social Science subject  (according to the  SC Curriculum, that includes the creations of Timelines).

Timing: 2/3 sessions (6th grade classroom and also in the Computer Lab).

Aim of the lesson plan:
. Promote and motivate the use of English to practise and learn other subjects.
. Use the new technologies in class as an ordinary tool in order to improve their knowledge.



- Steps of the lessons:
. Review the last unit that we have worked previously in SC class doing a Kahoot activity. So that, each one can “discover” his/her mistakes.
- After this, they make a correctly list of eras and also they have to including a brief explanation of each one (work in pairs).
- In the Computer Lab. They can do and scheme before do their activity with the computer. (To facilitate this task, we watch a video where explaining how to create a timeline).

- Complete the timeline with photos, images and some more information that they think it could be interesting.  Also we can print and put all the students’ works on display.

Assesment: Each pair will be evaluate by peer to peer assessment, so that they have to complete a grid following a rubric
